Côte Paris June-July 2010Kronometry 1999 goes international
Walter Ronchetti knew what he wanted when he launched Kronometry 1999. His 'concept", as he calls it, is simple enough: Haute Horlogerie brands, strategic locations and impeccable reception. A simple idea, but someone had to act on it and Walter Ronchetti did. Ten years later he can be pleased with the result. There are now ten Kronometry 1999 shops including eight multibrand shops and two for Hublot exclusively. They are to be found in places where there is an international Haute Horlogerie customer base: on the Côte d'Azur (in Cannes, Monaco and Saint-Tropez), in Paris.Courchevel. Bordeaux and Lyon. In December 2009 Kronometry 1999 opened in London, a first step towards the intended Europe-wide network of shops. As regards products, the chain sells some twenty upscale watchmakers including many niche brands. The main partners are Hublot, Bell & Ross, De Witt, Harry Winston, Bovet, Ulysse Nardin etc. I work with people who trust me: says Walter Ronchetti. 'It's very important to develop constructive relationships". But new names can be added, and Kronometry 1999 should soon be taking on the Romain Jerome brand.
