Opus X - HARRY WINSTON
More photos
Created in collaboration with watch-maker/engineer Jean-Francois Mojon, the Opus X reveals the time in a completely new light. A true technical challenge, the mechanism with complications is immersed in a unique spatio-temporal dimension : supported by a platform that completes a full rotation in 24 hours, the mobile and disassociated dials for the hours, minutes and seconds maintain the same orientation regardless of the support's position. The giratory effect is accentuated by the sapphire crystal directly attached to the grey gold case 46 mm in diameter, without a bezel. The handwound mechanical movement is developed on a planetary gear train which operates the displays separately one from the other, depending on the continuous circular movements. It also operates a second 24-hour time zone on the periphery of the platform. Echoing the model's design, the linear display of the 72-hour power reserve on the back of the case is also assured by a planetary gear system. Only 100 connoisseurs of "Haute Horlogerie" will have the honour of owning this masterpiece of mechanics and aesthetics. |
